An Important Issue...
One of the biggest issues that I find my friends (non-Christian and Christian) dealing with is drinking and partying. They battle with when is it “too much” or “too far”, they walk the thin line between “right” and “wrong” and they claim that the Bible does not answer these questions. Over the past week of my daily Bible reading, verses had been jumping out at me regarding this topic, and I...

Random Act Of Kindness; Pennies!
Once upon a time, my friend Nila and I stumble upon a large pot full of pennies. We think to ourselves, WHAT IN THE WORLD are we going to do with all of these?  We decide to count them.  (We thought that there’d be $7-$11 in that pot…) Little did we know that…. There ended up being $22.60 in pennies (That means we hand counted 2260 pennies… that’s a lot. ...

When I say “I Am a Christian” →
spiritualinspiration: When I say… “I am a Christian” I’m not shouting “I am saved” I’m whispering “I was lost!” That is why I choose this way. When I say… “I am a Christian” I don’t speak of this with pride. I’m confessing that I stumble and need someone to be my guide. When I say… “I am a Christian” I’m not trying…

A man goes into a barber shop and as the barber is...
Barber: God does not exist!
Man: Why not?
Barber: You only have to look out the window to see all the pain and suffering that goes on. What kind of loving God would let that happen?!
The man goes silent and allows the barber to finish cutting his hair and trimming his beard. He pays and leaves. On his way home he passes a homeless man with a long, messy beard and equally long messy hair. He immediately turns round and goes back to the barber shop.
Man: Barbers do not exist!
Barber: How can you say that I have just cut your hair and trimmed your beard of course I exist.
Man: But I just passed a man in the street with a long, messy beard and equally long and messy hair. This shouldn't be if barbers exist.
Barber: That is not my fault, I can't help this man if he does not come to me. If he did I would be able sort his hair and beard.
Man: Exactly, that is why God allows pain and suffering. Like you, he cannot help those that do not go to him!

Hillsong Revelation
So I attended the Hillsong United Aftermath concert on August 13th 2011 and the Molson Canadian Amphitheater and it was amazing! Not only was the music great, but the overall atmosphere was phenomenal. During the concert, I would occasionally open my eyes to observe the beauty of the audience – an entire amphitheater with their arms high, eyes shut tight, singing their hearts out to God. The...

The Power Of Prayer
Another story of God’s awesomeness! So my friend, let’s call him Rob, has an amazing passion in his heart for reaching out to people, telling them his testimony and trying to aid them in their walk with God. There is a man who lives near him and is always just sitting around on a bench on the corner of the street, let’s call him Andy. Rob often stops by to see Andy just to chat or to bring...

Verse Of The Day
Here is a trustworthy saying: If we died with him, we will also live with him If we endure with him, we will also reign with him If we disown him, he will disown us If we are faithless, he will remain faithful For he cannot disown himself 2 Timothy 2:11-13

If You're Ever In Seattle...
This summer I took a road trip to Seattle, and visited the Pike Place Market (large tourist attraction!). This market consists of more than 200 vendors; which range from produce, to baked goods to clothing and jewelery. Of course, seeing as this blog is based around the bread of my life, I am going to focus on what stood out to me most at this farmers market - FOOD! Baked Goods Before we...

Today's Quote
The word without spirit is obscure and lifeless The spirit without word is aimless and shapeless But the word illuminated by the spirit is understandable and powerfully life changing - Pastor Sunder, Rexdale Alliance Church, June 12/11

How Could You Not Believe?
There are many arguments for and against Christianity – but as I was reading the other day, something struck me.  There is so much evidence to prove Jesus’ deity, but a lot of it is complicated and involves large amounts of explanation and research.  The reason this stuck out to me so much is because it is so painstakingly simple. Fact #1 – The Old Testament It is proven that the books of...

God's Amazing Timing
I have been trying to evangelize to my grandfather for years. One year when he came to stay with us for the summer, I sat him down with a Bible and tried to talk to him, but he told me that we would talk next time I saw him. Another year I wrote him a letter which included my testimony, how God changed my life and that he should look into getting to know God. He told me he would send me a...

The Two Things That Sustain Life
1. Food – sustains physical life; literally bread of life; we eat it, our bodies digest it, absorbing it’s nutrients and breaking it down to create new cells for our body so that we can continue living on this Earth –> without it, our bodies would deteriorate. 2. Christ – sustains spiritual life; the only true bread of life; we believe and trust in him, he died for our sins so that we...

Welcome!
Hello to anyone visiting this blog! I want to welcome you and thank you for taking the time to read my thoughts.  I created this blog because I find that documenting my thoughts helps me to formulate and solidify my opinions; and I decided that I might as well post these thoughts publicly in off the chance that they may help you as well (or just amuse you)! If you know me, you know that...
