Once upon a time, my friend Nila and I stumble upon a large pot full of pennies.

We think to ourselves, WHAT IN THE WORLD are we going to do with all of these?  We decide to count them.  (We thought that there’d be $7-$11 in that pot…)

Little did we know that….

There ended up being $22.60 in pennies (That means we hand counted 2260 pennies… that’s a lot.  They were really dirty too :S )

In order to not lose count, we roll the pennies into $0.50 rolls using duct tape.

Yeah rolled pennies!

And we put them in a bag.  We think to ourselves, what are we going to do with a bag full of pennies?!

So we go to Tim Hortons and McDonalds and we pay for the people behind us!

Unfortunately I lost the picture of us paying with the rolled coins, but it’s probably better that way, because I don’t think I’m allowed to post a picture of the employee working without their permission anyways.

We left “SMILE cards” at the cashier window for the people in the cars behind us.  Check out SMILE cards here!
